A Jackson County native, Andy was raised in Jefferson, GA
He is the middle child from a family of seven with two older Sisters and two younger Brothers. His father, Albert (deceased), served in WW II as a Marine and his Mother, Dolores, was one of the first women to break into the world of local advertising working for the Athens Banner Herald.

Andy holds degrees in Sociology, Criminal Justice and a Master's Degree in Public Administration. Over 38 years of Law Enforcement experience in Georgia - the widest range of fields in law enforcement of any candidate.
Did you know? Andy is the longest serving police academy director in the history of Georgia.
He will retire in December of 2011 having served the State of Georgia since 1983 and having trained thousands of public safety officers who work throughout the State of Georgia, the Nation and the World.
You can put your trust in Andy. He serves his community in many volunteer capacities.
He is on the Jefferson Community Theatre board of Directors, a MainStreet volunteer, an active member of the Republican party, a volunteer at the local food bank and a member of the First Baptist Church in Jefferson.
